We made it easy to convert from a Track Edition to a Touring Edition, or vice versa, if you decide at a later date to turn it up, or turn it down
Touring Edition Exhaust:
A direct bolt-on, full 3” straight-through design. The Touring Edition allows the WRX / STI to deliver its famous rumble without rasp or in-cabin drone, while introducing intoxicating crackles when shifting, thanks to AWE’s proprietary drone-canceling solution, 180 Technology®. This configuration compliments the EJ25 is every way. Seriously.

As exhaust gases exit the EJ25 engine and flow into an AWE180 Technology®equipped resonator, they pass through strategically located ports, and into reflection chambers. Sound waves, carried by these exhaust gasses, bounce off the walls of the reflection chambers. By controlling the size and location of the ports and the chambers, we also control when the sound waves exit the chambers. The specific timing of when the reflected sound waves rejoin the main exhaust flow creates a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree out-of-phase sound wave that cancels out problematic frequencies. Track Edition Exhaust:
For those looking to take it to 11, and leave it there, go Track.
The Track Edition retains all of the precision engineering from the Touring Edition, minus the AWE’s 180 Technology®. The result? Unfiltered BOXER® rumble both in and out of the cabin.
This version is known to get rowdy, and may be too much for many. For that reason, this particular version cannot be returned due to sound preference. Prepare yourself.
